There is no “I” in “team”…Here’s Ciburbanity’s first collaborative DIY project! And I got the easy end of the deal… I found this $5 table at the local Restore and thought my friend, Jill, might like it as a little fixer-upper. (No before pics… but it was plain brown wood.)
Well, rockstar Jill gave it a coat of paint (a pale gray-blue) while she was painting her kitchen and then brought it over to my house. I gave the edges a quick once over with my sander to age it and rough it up a bit. I just saw this post by the amazing Miss Mustard Seed and had her bedside table stuck in my brain.
With the table looking a little more aged, I grabbed some white craft paint and started adding a little embellishment.
Right now it’s in our family room and holds Eleanor’s library books. It’s pretty much the same color as the walls, so it blends into the already busy space, but the dainty paint decoration stands out nicely.
Next time Jill and I team up for a project, I need to take on the grunt work. This was definitely the easiest DIY I’ve done thanks to her prep work!
