If the finance world ever gets boring for my husband, he has a career in power washing. Maybe that could be his new thing? Power washing in a three piece suit? Power Suit Power Wash? Mean Lean and Squeaky Clean? Corporate Cleaning?
Last week, I mentioned an awesomely amazing playset that we were given by a friend of a friend. Well the kids have pretty much been on it nonstop since the final screw was tightened which is great. But the entire thing is FILTHY so less great when I see the dirty bottoms on their shorts as the three of them come running in from the backyard. (No picture of the bottoms… sorry.)
I took the three muskateers to
the playground Home Depot on Saturday and we rented a pressure washer. Anyone in the DIY world who has experienced these gadgets can attest to the satisfaction one gets from watching the dirt melt off the surface and this playset was no exception.
Mark spent a couple of hours going over every nook and cranny and it may not look brand new, but it’s a different swingset!
The slides were the most obvious source of collected grime… can you believe the before and after?
Here’s how one side board was transformed with the pressure washer.
For $50 we had the pressure washer for 4 hours which was plenty of time to deep clean the playset. Power washing can make all the difference in the world on a grubby patio, house siding, concrete… you name it! Ours came with three different nozzles that help focus the angle of the water and therefore the pressure. We didn’t want to remove the weather seal on our playset so opted for the lowest possible pressure.
Be warned, these things throw off A LOT of water. I know that seems like stating the obvious, but any space with poor drainage will be a puddle. And fast.
(Message me if you need Suit-able Pressure Washing and I’ll check with Mark….)
