Wanna make like the Jersey Shore cast and get into some hair gel? Then this #WednesdayPlayday is just for you!
Grab some at the dollar store since it’s never going to touch your hair. A ziplock bag and some glitter and… instant fun for your toddler. (Make sure to tape the ziplock as that thing doesn’t stand a chance against your kid… Martha spent a good 5 minutes trying to open her bag.)
Martha liked mixing the glitter at first and then she started poking at the bag ‘drawing’ lines.
I also made up a bag with two colors of simple craft paint for Martha to mix and explore.
These bags are really simple to make (obviously) and they can be great for easy fine motor practice. If you place the bag on top of a piece of paper, your child can use their index finger to write shapes or letters.
Or… they can just squeeze the life out of it until you notice the scent of ‘tropical breeze’ on their fingers and throw it away when they’re not looking!
