Yesterday morning was one of those days. We had 45 minutes to kill between Sesame Street and Oliver’s doctor check up and I needed a simple activity that would keep my Neanderthal happy and bright… I need all the help I can get going into a doctor’s office with this child.
I saw a picture of this project on Pinterest and though it would be right up his alley. After our success with this pipe cleaner activity, it seemed right in his wheel house. Materials? Play-doh, uncooked spaghetti and Cheerios. Staples in any toddler filled home!
Make a ball with your play-doh. I helped Oliver, Eleanor did her own. Stick the spaghetti into the play-doh. Thread the Cheerios onto each piece of spaghetti. Genius simplicity.
Watching those chubby little fingers carefully place the Cheerios on each piece of spaghetti was edible.
He took some snack breaks, but spent all of his 45 minutes threading cereal onto his pasta.
Eleanor did this when she got home from school and drew a picture of the whole thing. Overachiever.
Oh, quick reminder that Ciburbanity is STILL in the running to be one of Circle of Moms Top 25 Home Design Moms…. you can vote Every. Day. (I’ll stop bugging you on April 17th when voting is over!)
