All pigs go to washi tape heaven. Something about an animal figurine always calls out to me when I see them at Goodwill. This pig is wooden and I knew I wanted to do something besides spray it white.
I considered giving it a paint treatment like this fun makeover over at Young House Love, but I didn’t have the patience. I also toyed with wrapping it in something, but there are just enough little ruts and juts that I worried it would start to look a little crafty. So…. remember these bad boys?
Hello, washi tape. I used the same color palette as I did for this kids’ activity table: pastels. Reminiscent of my favorite snack food, no?
Starting in the middle, I just added a strip at a time. For the turns and corners, I used smaller strips or gave a little nip tuck so the tape could lie flat.
The whole thing took maybe 1 1/2 hours. It’s a sweet little bit of color in this alcove in our family room. How cute would a whole shelf of these look in a kids room or nursery?
