And just like that, September is gone. Poof. Bad news… one month closer to the sugar high that is Halloween. Good news, another month of AMAZING furniture flips over at the Fab Furniture Flippin’ Contest. This month’s theme was Geometric Designs sponsored by the amazing General Finishes. It’s only been a few months since this contest started, but you guys… the entries each month keep getting better and BETTER!
I pretended not to read the ‘geometric design’ part of the challenge and drooled over General Finishes Antique White for a new roll-top desk I found for our soon-to-be unveiled master bedroom. (You can see all the entries by heading back to this post.)
Totally amazing and un-geometric so… Let’s see what the real experts had to offer! My first favorite this month was this totally funky and retro dresser by Kara at Lilac Shack Furniture. The wood grain alone is gorgeous, but the added pattern from the paint complements it in such a fun way, in my opinion!
Next up combines two of my loves. Upholstery and upholstery shortcuts! Melody from My Passion for Decor painted a portion of this chair in Coastal Blue by GF and then upholstered the seat in this KILLER fabric. Win-win!
Last but certainly not least is this compass table by Evija of From Evija With Love. Dudes, she cut the wood and MADE this thing. Like one piece of wood at a time. What? Who DOES that?! Evija. That’s who. It looks SO chic and professional, doesn’t it?
This month, the winner is getting a mack daddy goodie basket from General Finishes, but everyone who entered deserves a round of applause for their hard work and creativity. The experts at PricewaterhouseCoopers have the envelope for us, and the winner is…
Kara from Lilac Shack Furniture!!! (Secretly I love it when one my faves is the winner too!) Congrats, Kara!
Thanks again to General Finishes for being such an inspiring sponsor! Head on over to see who the other FFFC hosts picked as their favorites!
Lynn at Fern Avenue
Evey at Evey’s Creations
Stacy at Anastasia Vintage
Carrie at Thirty Eighth Street
Michelle at Dandelion Patina
The theme for next month is “Spray It Pretty” and our sponsor is the most delightful HomeRight. (Two words for you regarding HomeRight… spray tent.) I can’t wait to see what tricks folks have up their sleeve!!
