A while back, I shared this little revelation. But it wasn’t until more recently that I really embraced the social media wonder that is instagram (and of course you should be following me). I’ve cracked the code. (Twitter, you’re next. Google +… one day, I’ll get to you.) For those of you who joined the party ages ago, you’re probably sitting on hundreds and hundreds of instagram images. Take out all the shots of food or sunsets and I suspect you still have lots that are print worthy.
I get a little uncomfortable when things live exclusively in cyberspace (don’t get me started on my angst about this very blog) so I was eager to print out some of my favorite instagrams. I know there are lots of places that will print instagram shots, but a fellow blogger used Persnickety Prints so I started there.
After downloading all of my instagram shots to my computer using instaport (yay!), I chose which ones were print worthy and what size to print them. On a lark I opted for 5″ and, as you’ll see, this worked out smashingly.
What’s the magic to the 5 x 5 print? Well…. it fits the Ikea Ribba frame! (Picture me snapping my fingers in a Z formation.)
This frame is more expensive than other Ikea frames ($9.99) so I only grabbed four, but the instagram prints fit perfectly. I’m planning to hang the frames in the new guestroom… either in a row along the hallway wall or as a 2 x 2 grid somewhere. I’m also planning on getting more frames next time I head to the Swedish blue and yellow utopia.
Don’t the prints look great in the Ikea frames?! This isn’t a sponsored post for Persnickety Prints or anything, but they were affordable and quick and I will DEFinitely use them again! Now go pick your favorite instagrams and get those cute pictures printed!
