Piles and piles and piles. At least that’s how all my necklaces seemed. I had my favorites on top, but the poor neglected strands on the bottom… well, they didn’t stand a chance.
Until this weekend when I decided to liberate my accessories. Go on Pinterest and there are lots of super cute options for jewelry storage.
But I have a lot of necklaces. A lot, a lot. I can’t help it… they just leap off the shelves into my discount loving cart. And as adorable as these Pinterest ideas were, many seemed too dainty for my super sized need. Until I saw a couple of images where a simple row of hooks kept the necklaces at bay.
Individual hooks would have looked super cute, but
I was impatient for the little nook that I was thinking of tucking my jewels, I didn’t want to get too busy so these Closetmaid hooks were all that I needed. Clean lines and 6 deep hooks each.
We have this odd built in dresser that will one day go away, but for now we use it for towels and as an extra little surface area for storage in our bedroom… this is how it normally looks:
A little measuring, a little drilling, and my beads and baubles can now see the light! I used the length of the average necklace to determine where to hang each hook. 14″ was perfect for my stash.
Not only are they organized so I can actually see what I have, but they also color up that space. Schwing!
